The EU’s omnibus review of the corporate sustainability reporting directive (CSRD), corporate sustainability due diligence directive (CSDDD) and EU green taxonomy in a bid to remain competitive has raised questions about whether it will weaken the bloc’s efforts to transition to a net zero economy by 2050. With the EU being one of the strictest jurisdictions when it comes to climate reporting, weakening the rules, experts argue, could leave investors and regulators without key data on potential climate risks.

Co-hosted by Green Central Banking journalist Moriah Costa and Simon Nixon, former Wall Street Journal journalist and author of the Wealth of Nations newsletter, the EU sustainability omnibus podcast will uncover why these climate reporting rules matter and what experts would like to see from the omnibus regulation process.
